Corporal Brad Mullins of the Winston-Salem Police Department partnered with Deputy Jeremiah Handy of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office last year (2019) for the inaugural Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Game. In the first year, they were able to raise over 1,000 lbs of food items (enough for 1190 meals) and approximately $2,000.00 which Crisis Control Ministry was able to use to help those in need. This year, the WSPD Peacekeepers and FCSO Enforcers are honored to add the WSFD Overhaulers and the GPD Sheepdogs to the tournament. These four teams will be participating in the Second Annual Battle of the Badges Charity Softball Tournament on October 31, 2020 at David F. Couch Ballpark (401 Deacon Boulevard).
